Today on CNN Student News, in Afghanistan there was a protest because of this burning Koran. Seven international staff died. I think that was bad that people burned a Koran and I hop that people do not died.

In L.A California, there was a pillow fight. There were thousands of people. I wish I was there to fight too. It looks so fun people hitting each other. I wish we could make a pillow fight in Arizona. Anyways that is all for today .bye.

Today on CNN student news, they talked about a protest that was in Afghanistan. They were protesting because a pastor form the US burn a Koran. At least seven people died. I think that this is very unrespectful. In addition, I hope that the protests stop, so that people don’t get killed. Like the 7 people that died.

They also talked about a fight. I think this fight is very interesting. Why? Well it was a pillow fight! Many people in LA went outside with a pillow and started a pillow fight. I think that’s pretty cool. I wish I was there!

    Pillow fight
Yesterday was national pillow fight day, in New York the biggest calibration of this day occurred. The people fought for a hour at a time, and they fought hard this is a cool event that I would have enjoyed participating in and I would have came out most likely on a bed. This event truly shows how waste full American’s are , those where perfectly good pillow’s and they had to bust them on others heads.

    Oops!
The famous CNN student news reporter Carl azuse messed up on the pillow fight report. He was making puns about it and he based them all on that their was feather pillow’s when one of the only rules was no feather pillow’s. This shows a lack of research and study. The resins for this rule was that they where collecting donations for a no kill shelter

Today on cnn they talked about how there was a big pillow fight in Los Angeles California. There were a lot of people who participated in this. I think that every state should have a pillow fight because it would help them with there self esteem, and it helps take there anger out threw a pillow fight and it prevents them from fighting.

Today on April 4th, 2011 I started out my moring being dress coded. Being dress coded is not fun. At Avalon you need to wear NAVY blue, RED shirts. With NO writing. Then the pants you need to wear BLACK pants and TAKI pants.

Today on CNN Student News, Carl Azuz talked about how the shore off of the Fukushima diatchi power plant, is exposed to radiation, there is a leak of radioactive liquids, and it could be a possible danger and or threat to wildlife and citizens who live close by. They have tried many methods of sealing the radiation leak off, like paving concrete over the leaking pipe, or using chemicals to block it off, but none of there methods have worked yet.

On CNN Student News, Carl Azuz also talked about how there a dispute on passing a national training wage. What the training wage does, is cut a new employee who is under the age of 20, salary from minimum wage to $5.25 an hour, The training wage will only last for 180 days, so that the company who hires you will be able to have more opportunities to hire more employees. Some people say that this is not a good idea because it makes the employees feel that they aren’t getting paid as much because they are not good employees. Others disagree and say that it is a good idea, and that it will help improve the economy because it will provide more job opportunities.

Today on CNN student news they talked about a pillow fight in California. If they rest then they would be out of the count. If I was playing I would probably win all of it but I doubt it. I would be tired by the end of the day and I will feel defeated.

Today on CNN student they talked about crisis in Japan. They are still talking about it. They tried to stop it by using concrete but it had not worked as planned. Its good that they are trying to stop from people dieing from the nuclear.

Today on CNN STUDENT NEWS talked about how the jobs went .1% down from February. They said that they are in the lowest from two years. I think that this about he jobs is going to get better very soon. Also they talked about a pillow fight day. It was in California, Los Angles. A lot of people were fighting with pillows in the streets. I think that it is funny that people are fighting in pillows. A kid was walking and then he went behind this guy who was in the middle of a fight, then hits him with the pillow. Then the guy turns around and the kid was gone by the time he turns around. I that its funny that kid comes out of no where and hits someone and then disappear.

Today on cnn student news Carl talked about problems and activities all around the world. First he talked about the protests in the Ivory Coast. He said that there were reelections for a new leader. After they already chose a new leader the old leader refused to step down. I don’t understand how they chose a NEW leader, but the OLD leader didn’t step down. I think they should just get rid of all these crazy leaders that won’t step down or every country in the world will have a leader that won’t step down.

There was a before we go segment that talked about national pillow fight day. I want to join all of these fun things, but they are always to far away. I think they should make some of the activities in Arizona or somewhere closer. I hope all the people had fun at the pillow fight.

  10. BeckyW Says:

Today on the CNN Student News there was a segment about labor wages. It said that they are thinking of doing different wages. It will be $5.25 for training wages and about $7.50 for the regular wages. This will help teens get jobs easier, but the also said that it might make them feel like there not worth as much as regular wage. I think this is a good idea but also not because teens can get jobs easier but not much money is involved.

Another segment was the “before we go” segment. It was about a big pillow fight. It was international pillow fight day. A bunch of states participated in the big pillow fight. I think that looks like fun even though you could get feathers in your hair.

  11. Brooke G Says:

Today on CNN student news Carl Azuz talked about young teens in training! Teens under 20 years old can get a training job for when their older. The teens get $5.25 an hour. I think that is cool, because if i had that job i wouldn’t have to beg my dad for money.
On the before we segment Carl talked about a fight in Califoria. This wasn’t just a regular fight, it was a pillow fight! That would be fun, because i like to hit people with pillows.

Today on CNN Student News they talked about the nuclear power plants and the cause of them leaking, they also talked about in Afghanistan Carom (the Moslems book being burned. The nuclear power plants are in Japan and they broke, well cracked open. The crack was from the tsunami and the earthquake they recently had. They were putting water in the reactor to cool the pipes down so they would not over heat. When they put the water in it the water flowed out and the nuclear waste went out with the water so the waste went all over the place and has spilled out

Second they talked about the Carom book being burned. The Carom is a Moslems book that was burned by an American. The people in Afghanistan heard about this and they went over to an American store in Afghanistan and they destroyed everything there, they might have even killed the man but I am not sure. Carl Azuz said that this was an outrage, they don’t need to take actions against all Americans for one persons action.

    The Andrew Report

Today on CNN student news, some school teacher burned the coran and made a lot of Afghanistan citizens mad. Haven’t we been here before, with the guy trying to burn the coran? Well think of this, don’t the people in Afghanistan always burn our flag and bible? So look at it this way, if we don’t burn their coran, they will burn our flag, if we don’t burn the coran, they will still burn our flag.

There is also talk of a new, training wage, it is around $5 and will make more jobs for teens. But some people say that it will make feel not as important. The truth is we don’t really care as long as we get a job. We just go with it if we can benefit from it. It is not always poor us that needs to be protected.

Today on Cnn student news, there was a segment about the unemployment rate going down! It was at an 8.8 now it is 8.7 from a .1 decrease. That is the lowest it has been for 2 years. Now hopefully it is going to decrease more and get better.

In addition, teenagers being able to get better jobs. Teens can get more jobs but they could be working for a lot less. I say no, if you work hard enough you should be able to make the same amount as any worker for minimum wage. I have a job and I work with seniors, and Cody and we all get paid the same! It is not fair!

Before we go, a segment about National pillow fight day! This feathery fight took place on Saturday. Me and Cody also helped out and took place in this day. We got a lot of people together that we knew and started a pillow fight at the apartments where we life. It was so fun except for picking up all the feathers!

Today on CNN STUDENT NEWS there was a segment about economics. The unemployment rate continues to drop but people say that it’s getting better. It only dropped by 0.1 %. That’s still bad but it should get better. I think it will continue to worsen as long as our government still maintains its focus on Libya. I really think Libya should have someone else help them. Japan seems to be doing well; after all, we owe them a lot of our money even though we make more than them.

Unemployment continues but one woman seems to have found a solution for us teens.
She says that if we start saving our money we will have enough for retirement. This is unbelievable mainly because we need money for college. Are we supposed to rely on our parents for college money and we start saving money we probably didn’t even earn? Most of us probably see a 20-dollar bill and have the urge to grab it, but that does not count as saving money. It is kind of hard getting a job at 13 or 14. Oh well we can work at McDonalds or fry’s but it doesn’t work like that.

Today on CNN student news people are having a fuss about a Koran burning. What is the deal any ways? It is just book. It is not serious enough to kill twenty people. I think that those people should just calm down and get over it.

Also, on the before we go segment there was a story about a major pillow fight. There was hundreds maybe even thousands of people hitting each other with pillows. I wish that this school would have a big pillow fight like those people did.

Today on Cnn Student News we go to ivory, Ivory Coast!

As many know and some who don’t know, ivory coast is a warring African country. A major event is happening. The old president of ivory coast, who won his presidency in a coup de’etat, doesn’t want to leave power. He says he will have to be removed by force. In the wake of the war, former and new president’s battle it out over the city streets. Maybe a duel would suffice to prove who won his presidency?

Next up Japanese leak found, and traces of radiation in American produce.

Japan has been devastated numerous times in a row. The worst is over. Or so they say. But can any Japanese person with a right mind trust in his government? No. The government has been having faulty radiated water spill out into the ocean. This is affecting the world, and some countries aren’t going to like it. Here’s the problem with allies: One ship goes down the other follows close at its tail.

  18. MerondaW. Says:

Today on Ccn Student News I found out that people under the age of twenty years old might have to work at minimum wage to get ready for when the get a real job. They think it will help them get a job easier too.
Also on the “Before We Go” segment they had a pillow fight in Los Angeles. They had the fight because they wanted donations for a “No Kill Animal Shelter” I think it is so awesome that they wanted to donate to a shelter for animals! :)

  19. Bryant M Says:

Today on cnn student news they talked about the Ivory Coast about how they are at war. What is about everybody going into war. Theres like a war everywhere now why cant every one jusst get along i dont even no wat there fighting over.

They also talked about some pillow fight that geos on in california. I wish i was in that pillow fight that pillow fight look like it was fun. I think that airzona should have one every month so that people can just have fun.

  20. Shawn H Says:

Today on CNN Student News…Japan has leaked radioactivity into the Pacific Ocean. Its leaking out of a crack on the ceiling I think. Japan…its so advancved they invent magic but they cannot stop radioactivity from making three eyed fish in an ocean they share with us? They will get it one day…if they survive.

They also showed a huge group of people attacking eachotherwith weapons. Weapons of mass fluffiness! Today is pillowfight day! Grab your pillows and go attack one of your friends with it, they shouldn’t mind. If they don’t like it, remind them today is the dfay to have a random pillowfight!
