Today on CNN STUDENT NEWS talked about how in Afghanistan the killing rate went up from last year. In 2010, the rate was 83 killed or injured. This year is 353 killed or injured. It went up 330%, which is a lot of killing or injures. They are also killing themselves and others. I think that this is something that can cause human species to disappear.
In addition they also talked about how they in Germany they are having a crazy race. The race is the Chair Race. All they need is a helmet and an office chair. Near the end, they are going to go have though ramps, bumps and other things that they can finish the race. This person won the race on his first time he does it. I think that it sounds very crazy and fun to do.

Today on CNN Student News, Carl Azuz, talked about how today is the 1-year anniversary of the gulf of Mexico. The oil spill was a huge disaster last year, and it killed many marine wildlife and permanently damaged there habitats. In some areas of the ocean, the oil spill has washed up in land and soaked into the ground, causing the oil to spread throughout the roots of plant life and underground land animals. They say that this will permanently damage these areas, and if we try and dig up the oil from the ground or water, that it will just make it worst on the animal and plant life. I say that we should find other ways of fixing these areas’s, especially if our only options will harm innocent animal and plant life.
Also on CNN Student News, Carl Azuz talked about a shooting that took place in Colorado high school, over twelve years ago. There were two shooters involved in the shootings, both male. They shot and killed over thirteen students, and wounded twenty-three more. At the end of the shootings, the two shooters ended up killing themselves, to prevent further harm to themselves or a sentence to a jail. In 2007, a memorial was put up into the school to honor all those who died on that dreaded day.
On the before we go segment we here of office employees and employers, finding yet another way to occupy there time. This is happening in Germany, and it is an office chair race.60 people joined this race to win the big cash.

Today on cnn student news, they talked about the oil spill of the Gulf of Mexico. They say that there is still oil in some parts of Louisiana. That oil is killing all life in the beaches of Louisiana. I think that is amazing how an oil spill that occurred 1 year ago is still damaging the ecosystem. Experts say that the oil is going to be in the ecosystem for decades. I think that is horrible because the oil is killing many plants and animals.
They also talked about an annual chair race. 60 people participated in this race. I think that is cool. I would like to participate in the next race. That’s all for today

Today on CNN Student news they talked about the Oil Spill on the Gulf of Mexico. The spill happened a year ago and did a lot of damage. There is still oil lingering around marshes and on beaches I bet. The oil in the marches is really thick and it has all sunk and soaked into the river beds. There were a lot of killed of birds, fishes, and plants that were killed. If you went to see the plants that were there you would see that they still have oil on their steams and in the roots. This is awful for all this to happen; there are other places that are like this. The oil has done so much damage to all the wild life and killed innocent animals. They say that it would be better for them to not clean it up because if they step on it, it will push the oil deeper into the soil and ruin it even more. I think that they are right and all but they have to do something to keep animals and people and plants from growing there because it will do even more harm to the world than to jus leave it there.
They also talked about the soldiers in Afghanistan. The government said that they would take the soldiers out this year but it all depends on the situation. I bet the situation is all good they jus want to keep them all under control. There was an Afghanistan soldier that had on an American army suit and walked on like he was one of us and he started to shoot at our soldiers. He killed two people before we got the chance to kill him. I think this is a big mistake and they need to have the dog tags at like a gate to enter the army base.

Cnn student news
Today on Cnn student news, they talk about the oil spells that happen a year ago. There is still oil in the Gulf of Mexico. I though that they clean up ever thing. But I guess there is still oil, people this days get so lazy they don’t want to do nothing at all, lazy people. The oil spill is killing thousand of animals and plants. I think that is sad. I know the people are trying the best to clean the Gulf of Mexico but they have to try harder.
This is all for today
Today on CNN student news, Carl Azuz talked about the spill in the Gulf of Mexico, one year ago. Eleven of 136 people died. A year later they went back, one guy put on a glove and stuck his hand in the water, and he pulls it out and there was oil everywhere. The oil was sticky like tarr, it has killed many wildlife animals or harmed them very bad. I think we should get some equipment out there and get it out.
Also on april 20th 1999, two senior students were being bullied, and embarked on massacre at Columbine high school in Calorado. They students killed 12 other students and one teacher. 21 students were injured and three of those students were injured trying to ecsape. The two students committed suicide after the shooting. That why bulling is not a good thing, it will lead people to do crazy things that will harm themselves or others. Thats all for todays CNN student news.

CNN STUDENT NEWS
On CNN STUDENT NEWS there was a segment about the Gulf of Mexico. The oil has stopped flowing through into the ocean but the damages to the ecosystems continue to worsen, especially in the marshes. When birds leave their habitat due to oil they fly back months or years later which causes them to get oil all over them again. Some of the marshes are so filled with oil that they cannot return to normal, leaving them permanently damaged. This also leads to water over running he space and the marsh is nothing anymore. Coats guards say if you dig the oil up it will damage the marshes further. Nevertheless, people are in a race against time to save the marshes before the oil takes it over.
In addition, chairs are in a race as well. Office chairs powered by gravity go against obstacles like ramps and other racers. This happened in Germany and needs to happen here. Finally, a sport that some people would think that is weird but is totally epic in the eyes of the weird. Crazy people with pimped out office chairs go head on head to compete in a race. I want to try this dangerous stunt. After all, my middle name is danger and this is a race people like me need to get into. I’ll grab my dad’s office chair and show the world what I am made of.
Today on cnn student news, Carl Azuz talked about wars and oil spills. One year ago on April 20, 2010, a BP oilrig exploded, killing many workers. They controlled all of the water until they found that a nearby oil well was leaking millions of oil into the Gulf of Mexico. The well let over 200,000,000 gallons of oil spill into the gulf until they fixed the leak. Nearby marshes are being hurt from the oil. They said that at least a foot into what used to be fertile soil is now oil and mud. The oil is sticky and gooey.
In Afghanistan U.S., troops are going to start being pulled from the war. I think this is bad. Many soldiers are risking their lives out there for you and us want to pull them out of the country! I hope that they realize what these troops have done for us and that The cause of 9/11 was because of Afghanistan leaders and crazy people. I hope they put more thought into bringing our troops back.
Today on the CNN Student News there was a segment about the oil spill that happened in the gulf last year. They still found oil in the soil and under water. It will keep killing plants and animals as long as the oil is there. That is terrible because nature doesn’t deserve this.
Another segment was about a shooting in Colorado at columbine high school. 13 students were killed and 23 were injured. After that, the shooters eventually shot themselves. They had made a memorial made for the students. That is so sad because none of the victims saw it coming.
Today on CNN Student News Carl Azuz talked about Volunteer Month . If I could volunteer I would because I think that volunteering is good for the environment . Most people don’t even give it a try to volunteer I think that’s bad good.
They also, talked about office chair race. That looks like it would be a lot of fun that would be the day I wouldn’t hate having to go to work. Cause I no im not going to be working im going to be racing . If I would have won that race I would have donated all that money to the people in Japan. Cause they need it really bad.
Today on CNN Student News Carl Azuz talked about how the oil spill is still on the shore of Golf of Mexico. Reporters went up there to take a look. The reporter went to touch the soil and it was very thick. They say there not doing anything because it would make the problem worse, because it gets deeper in the soil. From the water it looked clean but when they spun around in the boat they were in you could still see the oil rising up. To me I think its sad that something like that is happening.
Carl talked about how people are office racing with chairs. I think that’s waste of time when people are doing that when they could be working. That’s the end of that segment.
Today on cnn they talked about the oil spill that happened a year ago. A news reporter went to Louisiana and went to a lake where there were big bushes and they had died because of the oil spill. If you dig one foot underground there is still oil and there is also oil under water when a boat goes fast on water the boat makes the oil go up. This is bad because it can destroy more wild life.
They also talked about a race but this isn’t any kind of race it was a chair race people ha d to race with office chairs, 60 people participated in this event most f the people had to wear helmets because they had to jump ramps. All you needed was strong legs and a working chair. (:
Today on Cnn Student I found out that this month is “Volunteer Month”. Last year they had 6 million people volunteer for things. This year the goal is to have people volunteer for stuff and give over one-hundred thousand volunteer hours by people who volunteer. I think they shouldn’t make a volunteer month because during people’s free time they should do something good like volunteer for an event or something.
Also on the “Before We Go” segment Carl told us that yesterday in Germany there was an office chair race. Sixty people entered in the race. I don’t see what the point is in having an office chair race, but if it was for a good cause like donating money to a charity then I get it.

The General INSURGENT! Welcome to Afghanistan, land of the mentally insane and psychotically suicidal insurgents. Since 2001, exactly ten years ago, our troops have been fighting an endless war of psychotically insane proportions. Even though Taliban leaders have since been removed from power, and their chain of command devoid of leaders, there are still insurgents who are willing to destroy their pathetic lives for nothing. What do I say? I say give up. You cannot win! At the least give up and have a chance at life! This murdering is pointless! Why can no one see this?!
The Oil spill that happened in the Gulf of Mexico is still a very major pain in America’s behind. Even though the spill was sealed, has the land taken the damage in massive toll? Could it be that we, humans who destroy all, cannot fix this mistake? It seems so. Efforts to clean the disaster zone have been high. The only problem is that nothing we do helps. I think it is high time humans stop destroying this earth, or all maybe lost.
Today on CNN student news they talked about the oil spill in Gulf of México. The spill leads to harm the ecosystem. People need to stop and think what is a better way to have the oil sent to Briton. I think people need to make a difference and stop oil spilling and hurting the animals !
On CNN student news they talked about the race in Germany. People had to race with office chairs. Some had good chairs and some just tripped and fell. If I was there I would never attempt that stunt ! People in Germany are just loopy when they come up with these ideas.
April 20, 2011
Its 4/20 today and we remember the one year anniversary of the BP gulf oil spill. It has happened exactly one year ago but there are still damages the foundations and animal life. It is kind of crazy to see how much damage has been done. Hopefully the plant life will get better soon.
Also on the before we go segment it seems as though people are so tired of there office jobs that they are running away in there office chairs. Actually people are just racing chairs down hills and maneuvering around obstacles to finish the annual office chair race. It looks like it would be fun to try that race. Now that is all for today’s episode of CNN STUDENT NEWS.
